JIM SINGLETON

Jim was born and raised in the piney woods of Southeast Texas. In 1964 he met his wife Sharynn, and a year later they were married. Jim and Sharynn have celebrated 46 years of marriage, have four children, and seven grandchildren with one more on the way. After being born again and baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1971, God led Jim and Sharynn, along with their two oldest children, to Liberty Bible College  in Pensacola, Florida in 1975.

While at Liberty Bible College, Jim and his family attended Liberty Church, and Ken Sumrall became their pastor. Jim served in Liberty Church both as a deacon, and an elder. He also led a home group, worked with the youth, and managed the college bookstore. In 1979, after graduating from Liberty Bible College, Jim and his family moved to Birmingham, Alabama where he served in Liberty Church as youth minister, and as assistant pastor until 1983.

In 1983, Jim and his family then moved to Madison, Mississippi where Jim became the pastor of New Covenant Church, a church which was a part of Liberty Fellowship of Churches and Ministers, a ministry founded by Ken Sumrall.

For 22 years Jim served as senior pastor of NCC, and also worked with Liberty Fellowship as a district overseer. During this time God blessed Jim and Sharynn with two more children, and many years of church growth and ministry at NCC.

In 2001, the doors opened for Jim to minister with one of Globe's missionaries in Hungary. Here is where a new ministry was established for Jim and Sharynn,  and for the next nine years God opened doors for them in other areas of Hungary as well as many areas in Romania and Ukraine. They taught and encouraged
the indigenous pastors and church leaders, counseled with pastors and leaders, ministered the gospel in surrounding Gypsy villages, and had Ken Sumrall's Book, Apostolic Fathers and Their Families, translated into the Magyar ( Hungarian ) language. They still maintain healthy relationships with the church leaders
in these countries. In 2005, Jim stepped down from his role as senior pastor, and turned the church ( nka, Ridgeland Family Church ) over to his son.

2010 has now proved to be a big blessing for Jim and Sharynn as they have had extended periods of ministry in Scotland, and in Capetown, SA. Since their heart  is for missions and missionaries, they were blessed to go and assist, relieve, and encourage the missionaries in these areas, and build relationships with those
they are ministering to. They also love serving and blessing the missionaries at the annual conference at Globe International each year, and blessing the Globe staff in any way they can.
