JIM MATHER

Jim came to know Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1980 while serving in the U.S. Air-force. Upon completing 4 years of service in 1981, he relocated to Dallas, Texas to study for ministry at Christ for the Nations. After one year of studies in Dallas he again relocated to study nursing in Westchester, Pennsylvania. Upon becoming a Registered Nurse in June of 1985 he married his wife Mary. In late 1987 he joined the Navy Nurse Corps which allowed him to relocate to Pensacola, Florida. Becoming a member of Liberty church enabled Jim and his family to begin the process of learning more about missions at Liberty Bible College. Prior to completing his 3 year commitment to the Navy, Jim and his family began raising support to become missionaries with Globe International. In the fall of 1992, Jim and his family traveled to England for special training in Ophthalmology and then proceeded onwards to Pakistan. He served in the development and establishment of Gilgit Eye Hospital which is located in the mountains of the northern portion of the country. After serving for 5 years in Pakistan, Jim and his family relocated to Mobile, Alabama to direct the Friends of Internationals student ministry. “FOI” ministers to 1000 students from 100 nations attending the University of South Alabama. In the summer of 2009, All Nations Community Church was established in Mobile as a way to help establish a seamless ministry to the broad population of internationals living, working and studying in the Mobile metropolitan area. Since 2007, Jim has served as the International Campus Pastor of Liberty Church in Pensacola which helps in providing pastoral care and direction for the missionaries supported and sent out by the church.
