BUFORD LIPSCOMB – CFN PRESIDENT
Originally from Cartersville, Georgia, Buford served in various ministry roles while carrying out a successful management career prior to moving to Pensacola, Florida, in 1979 to attend Liberty Bible College. Upon graduation from Liberty in 1982, Buford and Ann moved to Fairhope, Alabama, to begin Liberty Church-Fairhope. Buford served in numerous leadership roles while in Fairhope, he continued to teach in the Bible College, served on the President’s advisory board, was president of the area ministerial association and served as Mobile-Pensacola district pastor for Liberty Fellowship. After 10 years of service in Fairhope, Buford and Ann left behind a strong and growing church to follow God’s call to return to Pensacola as Senior Pastor of Liberty Church.
Pastor Buford’s primary gifting, along with public communication is strong apostolic visionary leadership. Evident throughout the many leadership roles he carries, along with pastoring a strong spiritually vibrant multi-campus church. Pastor Buford is the apostolic leader of Liberty Network, overseeing more than 100 ministers, including pastors, missionaries and churches. Serving on various church boards, community boards and committee, Pastor Buford is also the current Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa. Pastor Buford’s passion is building the Kingdom of God around the world. As a former business man he enjoys mentoring and working with businesses and businessmen in the marketplace.
Traveling and working extensively internationally, Pastor Buford says there is no city limits or national boundaries in the Kingdom of God! We are called to the whole world.
Pastor Buford and Ann are family people with 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Also included are many spiritual sons and daughters in Pensacola and throughout the world. Pastor Buford recently accepted the role as President of CFN and is tasked to bring new vision and direction working with the CFN Council.
